In this post I’ll be showing you how to delete whatsapp messages. I’ll be demonstrating on an iPhone, but you can do these things on Android as well. now let’s get started.
How to Delete WhatsApp Messages
The first thing I’ll be showing you is how to delete individual messages within whatsapp conversations. To start select the conversation you want to delete messages from. Find a message you’d like to erase, then tap and hold your finger on the message to reveal a pop-up menu. In the menu tap delete. Read Also : How to Create a Musical.ly Account 2018
If there are other messages you want to erase tap them to select them for deletion as well, each selected message will have a blue checkmark to the left of it. When you’ve selected the messages you want to erase tap the trash can icon in the bottom left corner.
Now you can select who you’d like to erase the message for. You can always erase a message just from your own device, but if the message you’ve sent hasn’t been read by the recipient you’ll also have the option to delete the message for everyone in the conversation. This feature is great if you accidentally send a message to the wrong person or send a message with a spelling mistake. Tap the option you’d like to use.
Note that when you delete a message for everyone the message will be replaced with a note saying that you deleted a message from the conversation. If you want to delete an entire conversation go to your chats page.
Find the conversation you want to erase, then slide your finger to the left over the conversation to reveal some options. tap more, if you want to erase all the messages containing the conversation without removing the conversation from your chat page tap clear chat. If you want to erase the conversation entirely select delete chat.
Want to delete your entire message history, tap Settings at the bottom of your screen. Then tap chats. to erase all messages in your chats but leave the empty conversations in your chats list, tap clear all chats.
To completely erase all your conversations tap delete all chats. To confirm enter your phone number, then tap delete all chats.
